SIMON BLACKMORE
International Mountain Leader / Accompagnateur en montagne
Come and see the Himalayan-scale glaciers of Mont Blanc from up close on mountain footpaths passing through hamlets of traditional farm chalets with tiny Alpine chapels and dark mossy forests full of dancing butterflies to open meadows carpeted with wildflowers. In winter you plod silently along the same paths on snowshoes (no technique needed), drifts of snow half-burying the hamlets and shrouding the trees, up to immaculate plateaus under azure high-altitude skies.
I am available to guide trekking using refuges de montagne, gentle one-day hikes and snowshoeing for people of all levels and abilities, explaining the valley’s history and the natural environment of the different altitude zones as we hike.
